THOUGHTS ON TRINITY

CHAPLAIN

Mr Burdon1

As a Church of England School, we are fortunate to have a part time Chaplain, Mr Burdon.  He organises our Collective Worship, including Assemblies and Thought for the Week.  There is a weekly theme and students are encouraged to discuss the theme in the context of current events. This is an example of a Thought for the Week from the last academic year.

Mr Burdon says:
“I joined Trinity at a very strange time, just as the country went into lockdown and the school had to close. Despite this, I was made to feel very welcome and I could tell straight away what a fantastic community our school is. That same welcome and sense of community awaits those of you who are planning to join us in year 7. At Trinity we believe in the value and importance of every member of our community, everyone deserves the opportunity to flourish. Or, as Jesus put it, to have ‘life, full to overflowing’. Trinity is a great place to grow and to learn, and I look forward to meeting you when you arrive.”
