I am delighted to welcome you to the Trinity School community. We are looking forward to meeting you and your child in person, when we are able, and to welcome you as part of the Trinity family. We hope that this is the start of a happy and successful partnership as your child begins their secondary education with us.
Typically, at this time of the year we would be planning for our Transition Day in July and key staff would be visiting our feeder schools to meet your children and talk to their staff. As you can imagine, plans are being adapted for all eventualities in these uncertain times. Following the announcement from the government this week, we are more hopeful that we may get to meet Year 6 before the end of term. Under the current circumstances, it is more important to us than ever that students joining us in September feel happy and secure and we will be working hard behind the scenes to ensure that transition is as smooth as possible. We will also be adapting how we start in September to give more time for students in Year 7 to settle.
You will shortly be hearing from Ms Constant, Head of Year 7 and Mrs Leech, Assistant Headteacher, both of whom are responsible for Year 6 into 7 transition.
