On Tuesday 9th June 50 year 9 students were involved in a STEM enrichment activity. The aim was to work on a project for the whole day that integrated learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. The students had to design and model a water management system for a Smart Building. The design had to filter the water, indicate when the tank was full and pump the water to another part of the building. Students worked in teams of 6 and were involved in a whole range of making activities.
Congratulations to team Heatherwick who won the competition producing a design that did not leak, sensed and pumped successfully and was also efficient and cost effective!
