SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS

Our aim for students with special educational needs and disabilities is exactly the same as for all of our students: we want them to have high aspirations and to achieve well. At Trinity we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all students and high quality teaching which is differentiated to meet individual needs and abilities. Students may have SEND, Special Educational Needs and /or Disabilities throughout or at any time during the school year and we have good systems in place for identification and assessment of need.

All staff are involved in planning for a student’s Special Educational Needs and /or Disability to enable participation across the curriculum including extra-curricular activities and to allow all students to engage as fully as possible in the life of the school.

Trinity School is a Strategic Resource for Hearing Impaired students. The school is resourced to ensure there is a good acoustic environment for hearing impaired students, which is suitable to meet their needs.
