As Trinity School’s Teaching and Learning Team, we are writing this letter to update you about aspects of teaching and learning across the school during lockdown. We wanted to share our principles as a school about remote learning and give some thoughts about what we plan to do next, should this situation continue in the Autumn term.
Before sharing our aims, I think it is important to reassure parents/carers and students that we will do our utmost to support any student that has fallen behind, for whatever reason. We have specific plans in place for Year 11 next year, where we have redesigned the tutor team and the school day so that we can fit more catch-up and extra teaching into the school day. We will retain this model for as many years as necessary so each year group will benefit from intervention when they reach Year 11. If we need to provide intervention for Year 13, we will do this too.
