Year 12 A level Product Design
An important part of the design process is to test your products in real life situations and that’s exactly what the Year 12 Product Design students did – at their local DFS store. The 10 students were originally asked to design and manufacture either a free standing or wall mounted lighting unit based on a design movement of their choice. Over the past four months they have met the challenge head on and designed, prototyped and manufactured a finished product.
The products were then taken to the local DFS store to photograph them in different environments and as you can see, the results were stunning.
The students were delighted to see their creations on show in the store. The feedback from both staff and customers was very encouraging. A huge thank you to DFS and to the students for creating some of the best lighting solutions to date!
