Aspirational Tree
A 50 at 50 activity
Over the course of the last week of term, the art department, as part of work experience, have been able to paint a large aspirational tree that celebrates the success of 49 ex Trinity students. The painting includes a silhouette of a tree with 49 leaves, representing those successes, with the 50th leaf including a mirror so that current students can see themselves in this tree, and consider what their story will be.
The roots of the tree include the skills and experiences Trinity School provides in order to ensure student success.
Underneath the tree is the bible quote: “The Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed…it grew and became a large tree.”

18/7/18 - Starting the painting of the tree and the leaves.

17/7/18 The beginning of the project, drawn out in pencil and charcoal.
The aim of the aspirational tree is to allow students to be able to surround themselves in the successes of ex students, and when looking in the mirror, can consider what their success story will be, just like the students before them.
The painting is located outside Reverend Kennedy’s office, we hope you enjoy it.
