Art Projects – Sixth Form Mural and Stain Glass Windows
Last term Trinity students created two art projects – a sixth form mural and a lower school stained glass style Window display.
The mural as a whole surprised ourselves about how much we are capable of. Our confidence in trying new things and believing in ourselves has increased. Also it was good to be trusted with something that gave us more independence and heightened our creativity. The project as a whole helped us to get better at meeting deadlines and working as a team.
The stain glass window project was something that provided an opportunity to try new techniques, and working according to a deadline for a set brief. Also the project helped build our confidence as we were working with fellow students in different years for some of the project. The project as a whole came out better than expected and has had a positive attitude to what we can achieve.
Overall both projects are quite spiritual and have positive outcomes. Everyone working on the projects were brought closer together. We hope, over the coming term, people will connect with the positive messages running throughout as much as we have.
I am delighted with the way our seven art students ( Lucie, Eleanor, Ellie, Nicole, Jasmine, Miriam and Lydia) met the deadlines with such commitment and creativity. It was a busy week and we enjoyed working with year 7/9 students too. Fabulous effort from all those involved and truly inspirational art work that no doubt will inspire others to think positively about the environment and themselves.
